Alvin was born and raised in Nacogdoches County and graduated from Woden High School. Upon his completion of high school, he joined The United States Army. Upon returning to civilian life, he began working at Foretravel and remained there for over 27 years, retiring as a supervisor. Alvin was a great father to his precious daughters, and he loved them endlessly. He was blessed with the birth of his granddaughters, who lovingly called him “Paw”, and when his first grandson, Trevor, was born, he was elated to have a boy in the family! Alvin enjoyed playing the piano, fishing, hunting, and the occasional dancing to country music at the VFW. He was also a very proud member of the National Rifle Association. Alvin will forever be remembered as the sweet man who made everyone around him feel special, and for his wicked sense of humor.
