Teri Johnson, 66, of Nacogdoches passed away on May 19, 2025, in Lufkin. A Memorial service will be held at 10:00am on Wednesday, May 28, 2025 at Laird Funeral Home with Pastor Jackie Yates officiating.
Teri was born in Shreveport, Louisiana to Charles and Robbie Lamb on November 29, 1958. As a young girl she moved to Cushing, Texas where she would later become a cheerleader and graduate from Cushing High.
Teri later met and fell in love with her husband, David Johnson, and they married in 2003. For the next 22 years she was a devoted wife and mother. Outside of taking care of her home, she enjoyed baseball and racing, watching movies, sewing, and journaling.
Teri was a good Christian example for her family. She loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. For many years she worked cleaning churches and helping others in need. She was dedicated to the Women’s classes, singing and playing the flute, and all church socials. She was never short on love for anyone. Her favorite scripture was Phil. 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me”
Teri is survived by her husband, David Johnson; sons, Michael and Anthony Rogers of Nacogdoches, Texas; 4 grandchildren; and her sister, Joy Birdwell of Cushing, Texas.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Robbie Lamb and her brother, Roger Lamb.
