Obituary

Graveside service for Sue Nelwyne Green, 78, of Nacogdoches will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday May 14, 2022, at Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm on May 14, 2022, at Laird Funeral Home. She passed away on May 8, 2022.

Sue Nelwyne was born to Audrey Lillie Allen and Daniel Earl "Skinny" Simons of Nacogdoches, TX on November 9, 1943. In 1962, she graduated from Nacogdoches High School. Following high school, Nelwyne attended Stephen F. Austin State College, graduating in 1966. Nelwyne married Kenneth Green in 1966 and they had two children, Misti and Matthew. Nelwyne moved to Pasadena, TX in 1968 and was a teacher in the Pasadena Independent School District until her retirement.

Nelwyne is preceded in death by her parents, sister, Auderle Parkerson, and niece, Larrilee Parkerson-Hill.

She is survived by her daughter Misti Holley and husband Mike, her son, Matthew Green and wife, Tiffany, along with granddaughters, Abbey and Sarah Johnson and Makenna Green.
