Ryan Arriola Obituary

Ryan Adam Arriola, 36 of Nacogdoches, passed away Tuesday, June 27, 2023, in Nacogdoches, TX.

Memorial Service for Ryan will be 2:00 pm Wednesday, July 5, 2023, at Holly Springs Baptist Church.

Visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:00 Wednesday, July 5, 2023, at Holly Springs Baptist Church with Bro. Kendall McDonald, officiating.

Ryan was born in Nacogdoches on December 19, 1986, to James Arriola and Rhonda Rogers-Snider.  He grew up in Nacogdoches and attended Garrison High School.  Ryan, or “Ryno” met the love of his life, Chrissy, at the Kung Fu Bar in Houston, TX.  They were married in Galveston, Tx on October 2, 2016.  He loved gaming, chess, being outdoors, and reading.  You could often find him playing poker, hunting, fishing, kayaking, and playing with his daughter Molly whom he loved dearly.  If you were to ask him what his greatest accomplishment was, he would quickly say “being the best Dad ever” by staying home to be there for his precious daughter.  Ryan was everybody’s friend; he would talk to anyone and do anything for you.  He was easy-going and had a huge heart of gold and loved life to the fullest.  He was a big jokester and loved making people laugh.  He was taken away too soon.

Ryan is survived by his wife, Chrissy Arriola; daughter, Molly Arriola; parents, James Henry Arriola and wife Cathie, Rhonda Rogers-Snider and husband Jimmy, Bruce Shaffer and wife Susan; sisters, Marcy Clifton, and Crystal Collins; brothers, Alex Arriola, and Chris Snider; sisters-in-law, Caroline Shaffer, Kathleen Shaffer; brothers-in-law, Billy Shaffer and wife Lexy, and Drew Shaffer; nephews, Cole and Carter Clifton.

He is preceded in death by grandparents, R.Q. Rogers, Carolyn Rogers, and Daisy Arriola and uncle, Glenn Rogers.

Serving as honorary pallbearers are James Micheletti, Kade Williamson, Chris Snider, Jeremy Drake, Daniel Boulware, Jason Odem, Jonathan Butts, Brad Moore, Travis Smith, Garrett Fleming, Adam Galloway, and Joe White.
