Rozelle Weaver, known to many as Rosie, was born October 18, 1943, to Doc and Aileen Tubbe and grew up in Laceyville area. Being an only child, she and her cousin, Pat Armstrong, got into some trouble as they grew up. Rosie was taught the importance of family. In her twenties she met and married the love of her life, Kenneth Weaver. They made their home in Kingtown where they both became charter members of KVFD. She told Kenneth a final goodbye in 2006, when he sadly passed away. Rosie remained in Kingtown until her death on December 23, 2021. She always made sure her daughter, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren knew just how much she loved and supported them in all of their endeavors. Rosie loved hard and strong; if she loved you, she loved you with her whole heart. She had so many close friends. Barbara McDaniel, Linda Hardin, and Jeanne Pinkston were always on hand for a hot cup of coffee. They made so many memories together. Rosie worked for Payless Shoe Source for over 25 years! She was always up for a road trip, camping, or going to the beach. In her last days, Barbie Askew and Kenna Blubaker remained with her to make sure she was comfortable and had everything she needed.
Rozelle Weaver is survived by her daughter, Shanna Morgan; grandchildren, Cody and Cheyenne, Callie Sledge, and Hayli Morgan; great-grandchildren, Dasyn Ballow, Princess Sledge, Reese Dingler, Alie Sledge, and Acacia Sledge.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Weaver; parents, Doc and Aileen Tubbe; and an infant sister, Norma Jean.
