Robbie spent her lifetime doing exactly what her generation was taught….taking care of others, raising and loving her family and doing whatever it took to make sure those around her were provided for. She took great pride in her sewing abilities, often surprising her children and grandchildren with hand-made Halloween costumes. She was a talented seamstress as well as a superb cook! Her baking abilities outshined anyone in the family and her pies and cakes were everyone’s favorite! She met and married Charles in 1952. They moved to the Houston area where Charles worked his entire life. Robbie often filled her time working as a bookkeeper. In 1995, she had to say goodbye to the love of her life when he lost his battle with cancer. Robbie moved back to East Texas to be close to her siblings and other family.
Robbie loved her family. Her children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews always knew they would have her on their side. She was supportive and loving, took time to listen and give her opinion. She also loved watching Astros Baseball and listening to the nature that was supplied by living in the country.
Robbie is survived by her children, Cheryl Waller of Huntington and Tommie Dale Johnson & wife, Janet of Dropping Spring; grandchildren, Alicia Burg, Jennifer Accavallo, Taylor Johnson & wife, Tiffany and Eric Johnson; grandchildren, James, Emily, Charles, Stephanie, Joseph and Elijah; sister-in-law, Janice Yates and numerous nieces and nephews that held a special place in her heart.
