Funeral Services for Rett Samuel Moorman, of Nacogdoches, Texas will be held at 10:00AM on Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at Laird Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Lower Melrose Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00PM to 8:00PM on Monday, July 12, 2021 at Laird Funeral Home. 

Rett Samuel Moorman passed away on July 5, 2021 at the age of 21.

He was born February 28, 2000 in Nacogdoches Texas, and in typical Rett Moorman fashion, came into this world 11 minutes before the leap year. Rett was the second born son of 4 brothers.

He is survived by his partner in life Malory Elaine King, daughter Chandler Sky Moorman, mother Stacie Moorman Luman, father Melvin Lee Moorman and wife Kelley, brothers, Seth Hunter Moorman, Cahl Benjamin Moorman, Sy Gabriel Moorman, cousin Lexee M’Lynn Luman, grandmothers, Debbie Graves (Dodgie), and Kathryn Higginbotham Wise, nephew, Mason Mark Moorman, niece, Kendall Grace Moorman, uncles, Jacob Daniel Luman and Jeffrey Don Luman, stepsister, Tyler Radney and husband Detrik and their children Camden, Kaslynn and Colsen, stepbrother, Trenton Shinn and wife Katie and their children, Bentley and Maelynn.

Rett’s passion and love for his family and friends could be felt the moment he entered any room. His clever wit and ability to make everyone laugh, with his crazy antics, was one of a kind. He was his own synonym. Rett will always be remembered for the way he lived his life: contagious laughter, wild shenanigans, whole-hearted enthusiastic love, best hugs and kisses, and over-the-top generosity.

Pallbearers are Seth Moorman, Cahl Moorman, Sy Moorman, Rickey Eberlan, Logan Lucas, Blake Rawlinson, Trenton Shinn, Detrik Radney. Honorary pallbearers are Chase Phillips and Jacob Luman.
