Los servicios funerarios de Rafaela Hernández, de 61 años, de Nacogdoches, se llevarán a cabo a las 10:00 AM del sábado 20 de noviembre de 2021, en Sacred Heart Catholic Church, con el padre Matthew Stehling oficiando. Seguirá el sepelio en Sunset Memorial Park. El velorio se llevará a cabo de 6:00 PM a 8:00 PM viernes 19 de noviembre de 2021 en Laird Funeral Home. Un rosario comenzará a las 7:00 PM.

Funeral services for Rafaela Hernandez, 61, of Nacogdoches, will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, November 20, 2021, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with Father Matthew Stehling officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, November 19, 2021, at Laird Funeral Home. A Rosary will begin at 7:00 PM.

Rafaela Hernandez was born on October 24, 1960, in Agua Dulce Papantla, Veracruz, Mexico. She passed away on November 12, 2021, in Nacogdoches, Texas.

Rafaela loved to work in her garden; picking peppers she grew herself and turned into delicious meals. She also enjoyed playing with her dogs and playing Lottery with her family and friends. The most important thing in her life, was her family. She loved to be surrounded by her children and grandchildren.

Rafaela is survived by her husband, J. Jesus Trejo Martinez; mother, Romalda Hernandez; daughter, Maria DeJesus Trejo; son, Jaime Trejo and wife, Shannon Trejo; sister, Jacinta Balderas and husband, Jaime Balderas, Gelacia Hernandez, Juana Hernandez and husband, Miguel Gonzalez, Fortunata Hernandez, and Jacinta Hernandez; brother, Raul Hernandez and wife, Nohemi Alcocer, Benito Hernandez and wife Martina Hernandez; grandchildren, Jennifer Pecina, Miguel Pecina, Juan Pecina, Jesus Trejo, Jaime Trejo, and one grandson, Jesus Pecina.

She is preceded in death by her father, Juan Hernandez; and sister, Epifania Hernandez.

Serving as pallbearers will be Juan Hernandez, Miguel Hernandez, Jesus Hernandez, Rolando Hernandez, Pablo Espinoza, and Guadalupe Garcia.
