Preston Alan Alfred left this world on February 26, 2025 in Nacogdoches, Texas.

Preston was born on January 11, 1990 in Houston, Texas. He was raised in Montalba, Tx. by his parents, Randy and Glenda Alfred. From the moment they laid eyes on Preston, they instantly fell in love with him. Preston grew up in a loving home with parents that not only loved him but cherished and celebrated his life daily. When he was younger, Preston enjoyed going fishing behind his family’s home. He would often beg his mother to “whoop me” instead of grounding him from fishing. Even on days when he got in trouble, this did not stop his sister from grabbing him a chocolate malt on the way home. Preston’s favorite saying was “love you” when talking to his family. His admiration for his mother and father grew greater and greater through the years. Their guidance and love for him helped him in leading and loving others.

Preston entered the oil industry in 2015 and dedicated 10 years to this line of work. He gained his nickname “Peanut” through his current employer, Profrac. When Peanut went on a hitch with his crew he not only helped spread his wisdom and encouragement but provided a fun and memorable workplace. Preston was a very hard worker and strived to learn and grow to be the best that he could be in work and life.

Everybody that knew Preston knew that he embraced every moment of his life. He found joy in bringing people together and supporting others, trusting that he would instill kindness into the world. Preston was selfless, loyal, and kind. He had a smile that was contagious. He loved unconditionally and dedicated his life to helping others.

On many occasions in life, Preston was seen in his back yard drinking an ice-cold Michelob standing over country-style ribs, yelling “Erica Lea” to get her attention when he forgot something inside, or you could find him cleaning up his yard. He loved listening to loud music and enjoying working on his cars. Preston loved his life and found joy in everything he did.

Preston’s most profound form of love was for Erica and the life they had made together. Preston and Erica went on their first date in 2014, enjoying some of their favorite food, crawfish. This one date prospered into an amazing and inspiring life. In loving Erica, Preston was not only given the gift of marriage, but became a father to three beautiful girls, Kenlei, Peyton, and Sadie. Preston fully embraced his role as a father and wanted to teach them everything they needed to know about living in this world. His time home consisted of teaching Peyton how to fish and shoot basketball, throwing softballs back and forth with Kenlei and teaching her how to ride bikes, and teaching Sadie a life lesson to “continue trying things you do not like”, even her mama’s pasta.

After 9 years together, Preston and Erica celebrated the unity of marriage on July 30, 2023. This coming July makes their 2 year wedding anniversary and 11 years together. 11 years of fun-filled memories to hold onto and cherish forever. Preston made his impact on this world and will forever live on in everyone who knew him.

Preston’s family finds comfort in knowing that he has settled at the golden gates and found a table with a bucket of cold ones while he waits on reunification with each of his loved ones.

Preston is survived by his wife, Erica Sirles; parents, Glenda and Randy Alfred; daughters, Kenlei Denny, Peyton Green, and Sadie Alfred; brothers, Doug Ivey and wife, Marie, and Randall Alfred and wife, Heather; sisters, Sherry Richmond and husband, Alan, and Colette Alfred; mother-in-law, Theresa Sirles and spouse, Billy Dempsey; father-in-law, Billy “Bam” Sirles and spouse, Susan Fitts; brother-in-law, Marcus Sirles; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members.
