Patsy Ann Scarborough McDowell, 81, of Nacogdoches passed away on August 5, 2025, in Nacogdoches. She was born on May 12, 1944, in Hobbs, New Mexico to the late Leonell N. and Maxine Permenter Scarborough.
Patsy attended school in Nacogdoches. She enjoyed fishing on the piers in Galveston. Patsy found many interesting and beautiful rocks while rock hunting as a hobby. She had a passion for cooking, especially for her family. Patsy loved her family with all her heart and found joy in spending time with them.
Patsy is survived by her husband, Larry Thomas McDowell; son, Willis Clinton (Clint) Francis of Nacogdoches; daughter, Jennie Stoltz of Havre, Montana; Goddaughter, Destiny Gutierrez of Nacogdoches; grandchildren, Timothy Stoltz and BriAnne Stoltz both of Havre, Montana; sisters, Leonette Thomas and husband, John of Nacogdoches, and Janet Scarborough of Nacogdoches; brother, Leonell N. (Sonny) Scarborough, Jr. and wife, Carrie of Nacogdoches; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Leonell and Maxine Scarborough.
