Nelda spent her professional career as an elementary school teacher, primarily of first and second grade students. She left a lasting impact on so many of those young people and was always remembered fondly by former students and parents alike. She was always a people person and loved nothing more than having those family members and friends she held most dear by her side. She leaves a legacy of faith in God and our resurrected savior, Jesus Christ.
There will be a graveside service for Nelda at Old North Church Cemetery in Nacogdoches at 10 am on Wednesday, August 4, 2021, with Bill Sherrill officiating.
