Morris Muckleroy

A Celebration of Life for Morris Muckleroy, 91, of Nacogdoches will be held at 2pm on Monday, May 13, 2024, at First Christian Church Nacogdoches.

Mr. Muckleroy was born on November 23, 1932, in Nacogdoches and passed away on May 9, 2024.  He was a lifelong resident of Nacogdoches and an active member in the community.  He was married to Alice Ann Hutson Muckleroy on January 31, 1953, a love and union that lasted for over 58 years. He loved his family and his church very much.  He was a lifetime member of First Christian Church for over 75 years.  He worked with his family in the ice cream business and later in real estate development with his brothers and sister.  He loved to travel, enjoyed tennis, snow skiing and fishing.  He was a long-time member of Nacogdoches Rotary and supported numerous charities in Nacogdoches.  He will always be remembered for his great smile and outgoing personality.

Morris is survived by his children, Rick Muckleroy of Kemah, Texas and Angie Muckleroy Crisp & husband, Kim of Nacogdoches; grandchildren, Claire Crisp Drewery of Nacogdoches, Trey Muckleroy of Dickinson, Texas and Lacey Muckleroy of League City, Texas; and four great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Alice Hutson Muckleroy; grandson, Blake Andrew Crisp and siblings, R.G. Muckleroy II, Harold Muckleroy and LaMerle Muckleroy Harris.
