Mary Cassinday (Rogers) Clevenger, 72, of Nacogdoches, Texas, passed away on February 23, 2024, in Nacogdoches, Texas. She was born on July 17, 1951, in Lafayette, Indiana, to the late Robert and Letha (Farner) Rogers. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, March 2, 2024, at Fairview Cemetery in Nacogdoches, Texas with Bro. Joe Ward officiating.
Mary was born in Indiana, and she lived there until moving to Texas in 1981. She chose Texas as the perfect place to raise her family. Mary met and fell in love with Allen Clevenger and the two were joined as one on December 13, 1969, in Lafayette, Indiana. They spent a wonderful 43 years together before he was called to the Lord in 2013. Mary enjoyed crafting and crocheting gifts for her family and friends. She adored her family and took every moment she could to treasure the time she had with them. Mary, or Cindy as she was called by those close to her, was a very caring and loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Mary is survived by her daughter, Dessie Tieman and husband, Michael; son, Kelly Clevenger; grandchildren, Skylar Clevenger, Joshua Clevenger and partner, Cecilia, Michael Tieman, Jr. and wife, Amanda, Cody Clevenger and partner, Alyssa, Walker Tieman, James Clevenger, Austin Tieman and wife, Emily, Katelyn Randall, Hayley Clevenger, and Cassinday Tieman; great grandchildren, Mathew, Emma, Hayden, Jonah, Lukas, Dalilah, Kyri, and Paul; sisters, Sue Crider and Jeannie Jones; and brother, Steve Rogers.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Allen Clevenger; and her parents, Robert and Letha Rogers.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to LOVE Inc. of Nacogdoches.
