Marian Adele (Todd) Austin

Graveside service for Marian Austin, 64, of Chireno will be held at 2:00PM on Friday August 6, 2021 at Little Chapel Cemetery with Bro. Allen Chaney officiating. A Memorial service will be held at 1:00PM on Friday August 6, 2021 at Little Chapel Baptist Church. 

Marian Adele Todd Austin was born in Tarrant, Texas and grew up in Waco, TX. Her family moved to Austin, TX where she graduated from Westlake High School, before moving to Nacogdoches where she attended and graduated from Massey Business College.

Marian enjoyed spending time with her grandkids, church functions, fellowship with friends and seeing her regular customers at her store, Appleby Sand Depot, where she was a manager for over 10 years.

Some of her hobbies included wordsearches, shopping, traveling, and baking. Marian liked going to see the fourth of July fireworks, rodeos, seeing Christmas lights, and going with the grandkids trick-or-treating and to the syrup festival.

Marian was known by quite a few people as Sissy. She was a supporter and donated to Texas Children’s Hospital for years. Marian was a member of Little’s Chapel Baptist Church for 11 years, where she was the treasurer. The greatest accomplishment she had was she was able to raise 4 kids by herself and them becoming respectable members of society.

John 11:25-26, Jesus said unto her “I am the resurrection and the life; he that believeth in me, though he were dead yet shall live, and who so ever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest though this.”

I know it, because of Marian’s undying faith she had. Even when she was at her lowest, she praised the Lord and at her best she praised him just as loud, instilling faith in those around her.

Marian is survived by her daughters, Vanita Dean & husband Stacy, and Julie Kolb & husband Chris; sons, Sonny Watson & Carrie Collins, and Michael Watson & Lisa Ballard; sister, Donna Timmons; brothers, Douglas Todd & wife Wendi, and Billy Todd; 9 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren and 3 nephews

She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Donnie Austin Sr., and her parents, Douglas & Georgia Todd.

Pallbearers for the service will be Sonny Watson, Lukas Acosta, Jonathon Boney, Dwayne Musick, Christopher Kolb, and Stacy Dean.

Honorary pallbearers will be Douglas Todd and Billy Todd.
