L. C. Frederick, 89, of Nacogdoches, passed away on November 14, 2024, in Nacogdoches. He was born on January 16, 1935, in Nacogdoches County to the late Clyde Lee and Dollie (Lunsford) Frederick. Services are pending at this time.
Mr. Frederick was a Garrison native. He was well known in high school for playing football. In 1951, while playing the Garrison Bulldogs were District 19B Champs. After school, L. C. joined the Army where he served in the 734th AAA Bn during the Korean War. He was stationed at Sheboygan, Wisconsin and specialized as a gunner/sharpshooter and received a good conduct medal. After serving in the military, L. C. started his career at Baker Hughes. During his employment there he achieved the position of supervisor and eventually retired after receiving many certificates for exemplary work. Additionally, L. C. taught industrial firefighting classes where he achieved many certificates.
L. C. met his wife, Molly Flores Duncan, while she was caring for L. C.’s father in the nursing home. The two were married on July 14, 1995, in Dayton, Texas, and had 31 wonderful years together at the time of his passing. Guero, as he was affectionally called by Molly, was a loving and caring husband. L. C. enjoyed working in the yard and eating all the delicious food that Molly cooked for him. He was a godly man and loved to spend time bible studying and mission work. L. C. served as Deacon at First Baptist Church in Huffman, Texas. In 1982, he oversaw their Christian Education Department. L. C. was a man of God whose family was his greatest blessing.
L. C. is survived by his loving wife, Molly Frederick; brother, Langston Frederick, who recently passed; sister, Maxine Bonner; and his stepchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Robert Frederick, Charles Frederick, and Earlene Marze.
