Graveside service for Kathy Newman, Lunsford, 72, of Garrison will be held at 10:00am on Thursday, September 21, 2023 at Walnut Grove Cemetery in Garrison with Bro. Don Gallatin officiating.  

Mrs. Lunsford passed away on Friday, September 15, 2023 in Nacogdoches.  She was born on November 7, 1950 in Dallas, Texas.

Kathy is survived by her sons, Greg Lunsford & wife, Lindsay of Nacogdoches and Dan "Snapper" Lunsford & Jennifer Lee of Nacogdoches; grandchildren, Collen Lunsford & wife, Kaylie of LaPorte, Kase Lunsford of Nacogdoches, Trevor Whitehead & wife, Delainey of Martinsville and Gracie Whitehead of Nacogdoches and great-grandchildren, Sadie Lunsford and Tucker Whitehead.

She is proceeded in death by her parents, D.H. & Mary Ann Richards Newman; brothers, Daniel Newman and Earl Newman and a granddaughter, Lauren Nicole Lunsford.
