Jose Armando Castillo was born in San Luis, Potosi, Mexico, on July 9, 1968, to Maria Barboza and Herminio Castillo. He entered his heavenly home on Wednesday, April 21, 2021. Armando grew up in East Texas during his early childhood years. He spent his time either working or fishing; two things he would love and do for the rest of his life but spending time with his family was the most important thing.
Armando was very proud of the hard work and dedication he put into his 86’ Candy Blue Ford Ranger. That truck was his pride and joy, and he took great pleasure in driving his truck around while listening to music. Whether he was twiddling with his truck or fishing on a lake or river, you could find Armando with his lifelong best friend, Lalo, listening to music and goofing off. Traveling was something Armando loved to do. He would go on cruises often where he could visit the beach and drink a Modelo. Even more often, would visit his father’s ranch in Mexico, where he would help with the cows and garbanzo fields. Armando was a hard worker his entire life. For over 30 years, Armando worked at Pilgrim’s Pride in the feed mill, where he earned countless Employee of the Month awards along with many other awards that conveyed his hard work and dedication to the job.
Above all else, Armando was most proud of his family. His biggest accomplishment in life was raising and watching his seven children grow up into strong and courageous people. His children will forever remember their father as a devoted and adoring man who would play pranks or hang things in trees that no one else could reach. In 2012, Armando met Jenni, who would forever change his life. The couple loved each other whole heartedly and planned to spend the rest of their lives together when Armando proposed, promising to love and cherish her forever.
Armando is survived by his fiancé, Jenni Sekino; daughters, Berenice Castillo, Leticia Castillo, Nayeli Castillo, Olivia Castillo, Alexia Morones, and Cecilia Morones; son, Ryu Castillo; sisters, Magdalena Castillo and husband, Erasmo Martinez, Ana Castillo and husband, Rodolfo Bautista, Raquel Hernandez and husband, Raul Hernandez, Alma Magana and husband, Eduardo Magana, and Eliza Castillo; brothers, Rene Castillo and wife, Miriam, and Gustavo Castillo and wife, Christina; and grandchildren, Kaylee Castillo, Ezra Martinez, and Troy Stegall III.
