Graveside service for John Morton will be at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, February 24, 2021, at Blue Springs Cemetery.
John was born December 12, 1967 in Nacogdoches, Texas to Jimmy and Dianne Morton.
He attended Etoile and Woden schools and graduated from Woden in 1986. He made many lifelong friends during his time there.
John worked as a cook for an offshore drilling rig for many years. He spoiled the crew on the ship with his delicious cooking. He also worked as a caregiver and driver for special needs and disabled individuals. John was always helping and thinking of others. He would bring residents who didn’t have family home with him on holidays.
He cherished spending time with family and friends most of all. He spent many hours with his nieces and nephews entertaining them. He made memories camping with his family on the lake and riding four wheelers and hunting arrow heads. He enjoyed going to movies and traveling. Two of his favorite places he visited were New York City and Colorado. He had a great love for his pets and animals.
John is survived by his parents, Jimmy and Dianne, his sisters Lori Torbert, Jackie Morton, Sherry Gauthier, Melanie Emmons, his brother Craig Morton, and many nieces and nephews.
