Mr. Peeples passed away on Sunday, February 21, 2021 in Nacogdoches. He was born on March 1, 1945 in Bamberg, South Carolina.
Jefferson was born and raised in Bamberg, South Carolina. He graduated from Bamberg High School and eventually made his way to East Texas, settling in Nacogdoches with some of his family. He raised his family and loved them dearly. He spent every moment he could with them, making sure they knew how much he loved them. His time spent at home was precious to him and he made each minute count. When he had to leave for work, he enjoyed seeing beautiful places as he drove his truck and made a living doing so. His dedication to his job lasted for 43 years, until his retirement. Upon his retirement, he was able to enjoy the things he loved, including fishing, gardening and cooking. He could also be found strolling through antique stores looking for beautiful treasures that were long forgotten.
Mr. Peeples is survived by his wife, Carol Peeples; son, John Peeples of Tennessee; daughters, Darla Snider and husband, Robert of Magnolia and Donna Akridge and husband, Carl of Nacogdoches; 9 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren (with a 7th one expected soon); brother, Edward Peeples and wife, Rose of Summerville, South Carolina; sisters, Margie Morgan of Bonneau, South Carolina and Faye Shakleford of Alvin, South Carolina; He is also survived by his brother-in-law, of which he considered as another brother, Henry Arriola of Nacogdoches.
