James Leslie Burdick (Pa Jim) 86 years old of Douglass, Texas passed away peacefully at his residence on Monday October 27th. Jim was born January 11th, 1939, in Edelstein, Illinois. Jim was a jewelry designer for Commemorative Brand in Austin, Texas. He designed class rings, University rings and super bowl rings. He designed the A&M ring that is on their campus.
He was proceeded in death by his son Jamed Wade Burdick, parents Leslie and Anna, sister Virginia and brother Harry. Jim is survived by his wife of 44 years Suzie. Children Dean Burdick of Fort Myers, Florida, Larry and Christy Paris of Clarksville, Indiana, Marty and Sharla Spies of Douglass, Texas, Mark and Stephanie Spies Douglass, Texas. Grandchildren Johnathan and Lindsey Paris of New Albany, Indiana, Jennifer and Steven Snell of Clarksville, Indiana, Joshann and Isaac Cordova, of Acres, Florida, Krista and Caleb Williams, of Fort Myers, Florida, Marty and Katie Spies of Hudson, Texas Justin and Autumn Spies of Hudson, Texas and Jacob and Sierra Spies of Claremore, OK. 14 great-grandchildren. He loved watching football and Gunsmoke and fishing and hunting.
A celebration of life will be held later. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Elite Hospice 103 B Carriage Drive, Lufkin Texas 75904.
