Grant Parrish Obituary

Funeral service for Grant Parrish, 40, of Chireno will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, February 7, 2026 at Laird Funeral Home.  Visitation will be held prior to the service, beginning at 9:00am at Laird Funeral Home.

Grant passed away on January 25th, 2026.

Grant was born to Bob Parrish and Angi Vanderbosch on December 31, 1985. He graduated Garrison high school and earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology from Stephen F Austin State university. Grant was incredibly smart, endlessly curious, and full of bright, animated energy that made people feel alive just being around him. He enjoyed the Golden Girls, Mr. Roger’s Neighborhood, Sesame Street, She-Ra and many other old programs. He loved big – his family, his friends, his cats, and the stories and games that sparked his imagination. He had a rare gift for comforting others, wrapping people in hugs that felt like safety, and making them laugh with a warmth that could lift even the heaviest day. To know Grant was to feel seen, valued and lifted. Grant shared a uniquely close bond with his Aunt Gina, who was not only family but truly his closest friend.

Grant is survived by his parents, Dawn & Bob Parrish and Angi & Mike Vanderbosch and the many friends and family who loved him dearly.

Serving as pallbearers will be Joshua Franke, Philip Franke, Abbey Fuller, Margaret Miller, Bruce Smith, Efrain Serrano, James Carpenter and Nicholas Bueno.
