A visitation will be held from 6:00pm to 8:00pm on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at Laird Funeral Home. Mrs. Parker passed away on June 22, 2025, in Nacogdoches. She was born on December 5, 1948, in Shelbyville.

Glenda was born and raised in Shelbyville, Texas. While in Lou’s Café, she met the love of her life, Johnny Parker. On February 5, 1973, she became his wife. The two were married 51 years at the time of Johnny’s passing in 2024. When she was younger, Glenda worked at the candy house. Later, she worked for Avenue Floral as a delivery driver. She thoroughly enjoyed that time of her life. Glenda and Johnny raised their children with the same values that defined their lives. They were proud of their family and what they grew up to be. Family was very important to Glenda. She cherished every “Mama” and “Granny” she ever heard. Glenda was a modest woman who enjoyed the simple life. She loved to spend time sitting on her front porch watching the hummingbirds and her two puppies, Big Boy and Peanut. Glenda made good life for her family, cooking and keeping the house clean and tidy. Her turkey and dressing will be missed at the next family get-together.

Glenda is survived by her children, Karen Hasley and husband, Scott, Johnny Parker, Jr. and wife, Christy, and Shelly Gardner and husband, Curt; grandchildren, Morgan Hasley, Cris Hasley and wife, Shelby, Cole Hasley and girlfriend, Kynslei Dichard, Tyler Parker and wife, Monica, Taylor Parker and girlfriend, Elizabeth, Hunter Parker, Michelle Wynn and husband, Bobby, Riley Gardner and wife, Savannah, Kasie Rickman, Chris Rickman and wife, Karissa, Matthew Rickman, Samantha Hannah and husband, Taylor, Christy Revils, and Taylor Guida; great grandchildren, Raylee, Kensley, James, Christy, Kyle, Reece, Sophia, Jaxon, Boden, Teagan, Pippen, Miles, Maizey, Millie, and Mim; sisters, Theresa Johnson and husband, Glenn, and Deb Askew; sister-in-law, Daleen Bivens; brother, Jerry Bivens; and numerous nieces and nephews.
