Gerald “Jerry” Loop of Nacogdoches, 79, was born September 20, 1945 in Amarillo, Texas passed away January 20, 2025. He is survived by his wife Nancy, daughter and son-in-law Amber and Tracy Milburn of Rowlett, Texas, stepdaughter and son-in-law Shelly and Matt Leonard of Nacogdoches and granddaughters Cassara Wesberry and Alyssa Leonard and brother Tom Loop and his family. He is preceded in death by his parents and sister and brother-in-law Gwen and Bud McCaulley. Jerry was a navy reserve veteran and had a long career with IBM as an electrical engineer. He was able to retire early and enjoy living at Lake Stryker with his wife Nancy for many years before moving to Nacogdoches in 2019. He loved his family, playing board games, his Dallas Cowboys, and gardening. He was a loving family man with a crazy sense of humor always keeping everyone laughing and feeling loved. He will be greatly missed. A private family gathering will be held.
