Frank was born on June 19, 1947 to parents, Fred and Nadell Hoppe and passed on from his earthly home on Thursday, August 19, 2021. He was raised in Nacogdoches where he forever called home. Frank met the love of his life, Sandra Smith and the two joined in marriage to form a loving and dedicated bond that they treasured. Their life together was filled with many laughs and even more accomplishments. Among these accomplishments, they both felt their children and grandchildren were the best things they ever did. Their boys were the light of their lives and the adding of spouses and grandchildren completed their circle. When their precious great grandson came along, their lives began to encompass everything Hudson found important. He was a shining star in their eyes. Frank loved openly and fully. No one around him had to wonder what they meant to him. His family was of utmost importance to him and he would do anything it took to make sure they had what they needed. He was humble and loyal, honest and forgiving, but most importantly, he was the person everyone could depend on. Frank was a man of God and dedicated himself to serving Christ. He was an active member of Harvest Point Church for more than 50 years and lovingly served in many capacities including teaching many different age groups of Sunday School classes, was an AWANA leader and honorably held the position of Elder. He also served on multiple other committees over the years.
As a young man, Frank began working at Nibco where he made so many lasting and lifelong friendships. Upon his retirement, Frank and his retired buddies would gather every week for a breakfast together and enjoyed great fellowship. Frank was also an avid sports fan, with SFASU Basketball at the top of his list of favorites. He especially enjoyed the trips he made to the NCAA Final Four with his family. Frank also found time to explore his love of outdoors and was likely found fishing in his favorite spots every chance he could.
Frank is survived by his wife, Sandra Hoppe, of Nacogdoches; sons, Greg Hoppe & spouse, Vonda, of Nacogdoches, and Jayson Hoppe & spouse, Steve Fischer, of Dallas; brother, Bill Hoppe & spouse, LouAnn, of Nacogdoches; grandchildren, Katelyn Hoppe, of Nacogdoches, and Gregory Hoppe & fiancé, Victoria Norling, of Williston, ND; and great grandchild, Hudson Gregory Hoppe, of Nacogdoches.
