Elaine Fielder Hall, formerly of Rutland and Poultney Vermont, passed away peacefully on August 27, 2023, in Nacogdoches, Texas, just shy of her 97th birthday. Elaine was a native of Rhode Island and loved her clam chowder and all things New England. In 1950 she married Ronald Hall and together they raised a family and moved five times to various cities for his engineering job. Wherever her home was, Elaine was active in the Episcopal church altar guilds, and volunteered in community programs that assisted the elderly, children, or others in need. She was a friend to many both young and old throughout her long life as well. Her lovely son Bryce died twenty years ago and she said goodbye to her loving husband Ronald in 2017 after 67 years of marriage.
She is survived by her daughters Deborah Bloomer, Brenda Josephsen and Alison Hall as well as her extended family of Steven Josephsen, David Cate, Stephen, Sue and David DeMerchant, Kate Fielder, and her grandchildren Beth Simon, Brian and Mark Josephsen, and Lucynda Hall. All will miss her very much.
If you would like to honor her memory, please consider donating to The Nacogdoches Treatment Center, 119 Hughes Street, Nacogdoches, Texas 75961. Miss Elaine enjoyed her daily visits to this wonderful place!!
A Memorial Service is planned for Sunday, September 24 at 1:00 p.m. at Christ Episcopal Church, 502 East Starr Ave., Nacogdoches, TX 75961.
