Astonishingly, Dorothy lived for over 100 years, of which she saw many accomplishments, setbacks and some amazing things that came to fruition in this ever-changing world. She experienced many losses over the years, but the joys and happiness exceedingly outweighed it all. She spent many years traveling with husband, Ted as he worked the pipelines I the 1940’s and 1950’s and later in life, her days were filled with beautiful remnants of the things she loved the most. Her family, canning, sewing, stunning yard and garden, and her beloved dogs and cat, Sport brought her great delight.
She is survived by nieces, Debra Mitchell Inglis and husband Joe and Gina Acevedo and husband Lee; nephew, Troy Toliver Grimes and wife, Anita; great nieces and nephews, Tolivar Grimes and wife Carolina, Rylie Grimes, Olivia Dawson, Joshua Inglis, Gabriel Inglis, Hannah Inglis, Josiah Inglis, Ethan Inglis, Nick Acevedo and wife Joanie, Bubba Acevedo and wife, Stacey and Aaron Acevedo.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, C.F. “Ted” Richey; siblings, Alvin Monroe Grimes and Nelda Grimes Mitchell and nephew, Dale Mitchell.
