Donald Babb Obituary

Donald “Donnie” Robert Babb, age 44, of Douglass, Texas, passed away on December 31, 2025. He was born on January 31, 1981, in Dallas, Texas, and spent his life devoted to his family, his work, and the community he loved. He was baptized into Christ on August 7, 2022, in Douglass, Texas.

Donnie was employed by D & M Water Supply Company and proudly served his country as a United States Navy veteran. He was a hardworking and dependable man whose life reflected generosity, integrity, and a strong sense of responsibility to others. Donnie was deeply community-minded and believed in serving where he was needed most. This was especially evident through his dedication to coaching multiple youth baseball leagues, where he positively impacted many young lives through leadership, encouragement, and example.

An avid outdoorsman, Donnie found great joy in hunting and spending time outside. Those moments reflected his appreciation for life’s simple pleasures and time well spent with others.

Above all, Donnie’s greatest joy and proudest accomplishment was his children. He was a devoted and loving father who placed their happiness and well-being above all else. He shared a special bond with his youngest son, Corbin, whom he affectionately called “knucklehead,” a name spoken with love and humor that reflected their close relationship. Donnie embodied the very best qualities of a father—steadfast, caring, supportive, and present. He was also a loyal friend, a loving brother, a devoted son, and a cherished uncle.

Known affectionately as “Uncle Don Don” by his niece and nephew, Donnie’s warmth and generosity left a lasting impression on all who knew him. His legacy is one of love, service, and unwavering devotion to family and community.

Donnie is survived by his children, Corbin Lee Babb (10) of Douglass, Texas, Bella Marlee Chavez (20) of Lubbock, Texas and Dylan Carlos Chavez (21) of Nacogdoches, Texas and their mother, Danielle Nicole McCann of Nacogdoches, Texas; his mother, Sharon Rose Saint of Shiner, Texas; his brother, Zachary Ray Babb & wife Lauren of Shiner, Texas; nephew, Hunter Thomas Babb (15); niece, Madelyn Rose Babb (12);  his aunt Carolyn Vandergrift Burcham of Farmersville, Texas and many cousins and extended family members as well as dear friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Corbin’s trust. An account has been set up at Commercial Bank of Texas under the title of “Friends of Donnie Babb”.
