Diane (Campbell) Hicks

Faithful to the end, Frances Diane Campbell Hicks passed into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on February 21, 2025.

She was born April 8, 1943 in Nacogdoches, Texas, to William Perry Campbell and Frances Jones Campbell. Diane was a cheerleader for Nacogdoches High School and graduated from Stephen F. Austin University with a degree in Education. She devoted her life to serving her Lord and loving her family. As a student of God’s Word, she had a passion for learning and sharing with others. Beloved by many, she will be remembered for her warm hospitality, love of Christmas, sharp sense of humor, competitive spirit, and delicious baking.

Diane was preceded in death by her parents, William Perry and Frances Campbell, and her brother, George Perry Campbell. She is survived by her three children: Cathy Hicks Landtroop (Jim Landtroop), David Hicks (Michelle Reed), and Jennifer Hicks; four grandchildren: Braden Landtroop, David Landtroop, Kenneth Landtroop, and Lauren Landtroop Olinger (Michael Olinger); brother and sister-in-law, David and Marilyn Campbell; nephews: Brian Campbell (Jonell Campbell) and Jeff Campbell (Esther Campbell).

A celebration of life service will be held at 3:00 pm on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at The Heights Church in Richardson, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at Laird Funeral Home in Nacogdoches, Texas, followed by burial at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery.

Pallbearers include: David Hicks, Jim Landtroop, Brian Campbell, Jeff Campbell, Ben Covin, and Darrick Jahn.

Honorary pallbearers include: David Campbell, Braden Landtroop, David Landtroop, and Kenneth Landtroop .
