Darlene (Miller) Tubbe

Darlene Tubbe, 67 of Nacogdoches, passed away Saturday, October 14, 2023 in Tyler, TX.

Funeral Service for Mrs. Tubbe will be at 10:00 am, Friday, October 20, 2023 at Laird Funeral Home with Brother Bailey Alders, and Charles Drew officiating.  Internment will follow the service at Sunset Memorial Park.

Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 pm on Thursday, October 19, 2023 at Laird Funeral Home.  

Darlene enjoyed going to church, playing the organ and singing.  She was a Sunday School teacher for 20 plus years.  Her church kids all called her “Aunt Darlene” and still do to this day.  She loved working in the yard, burning leaves, sewing, reading, and going to garage sales.  She never hesitated to help someone in need.  Her family and grandkids were her everything.  After her stroke, she was not as active but she enjoyed coloring, word finds, and watching Hallmark movies.  She attended church every chance she could; she loved Jesus!  She loved hearing and reading the bible, and was loyal, loving, kind, patient, and determined.  When something needed to be done, she did it; no matter how hard the undertaking.

Darlene is survived by her daughters, Samantha Moses and husband Jeff, Tammy Davenport and husband Timothy, Emmy Tubbe; sisters, Pam Russell, Suegene May and husband Jim; grandchildren, Morgan, Taylor, Abagail, Genevieve; great-grandchildren, Kaiden, Julian, Posie, and Niko.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Marie and Buck Brimer, and Bill McClain.
