Mrs. Hobson passed away on December 14, 2021, in Nacogdoches. She was born on December 30, 1936, in Holdenville, Oklahoma.
Cloretta grew up in Spaulding and Holdenville, Oklahoma. She attended and graduated from Choctaw Highschool in Oklahoma City. Soon after graduation, she met her husband while he was working in construction. They married on June 1, 1956 and their happy marriage lasted 48 loving years.
Cloretta’s favorite pass times were sewing and embroidery. She made countless items for friends and family over the years. Whether the items were made as Christmas gifts or just something to lift some one’s day, you could always count on it being handmade with love and care.
To Cloretta’s family, she was known as “Mimi”. This name, lovingly given to her, is one her family heard often. She loved being around her family, and she would use any excuse imaginable to spend time with them, especially her grand and great-grandchildren. Alongside her real family she was very involved in her church family at Douglass First Baptist Church.
Cloretta Hobson was survived by her sons, Larry and wife, Shelby of Douglass, and Bobby and wife, Lisa, of Douglass; daughter, Sheri and husband, Mike, of Douglass; grandchildren, Jennifer Mabus, and husband, Cody, Amber Hobson, Jeremy Hobson, and wife, Marie, Lizette Kreig, and husband, John, Josh Bludworth, and wife, Wendy, Lacey Pierce, Robby Hobson, Trace Bludworth, and fiancé, Bailee, and Luke Bludworth; eighteen great-grandchildren, and twin great-great-grandboys, due in March of 2022.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Joe Hobson; her parents, and her three brothers.
