Funeral service for Claude Perkins will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, April 6, 2022 at Alazan Congregational Methodist Church with Pastor Robbyn Hunt officiating. Interment will follow at Alazan Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10-11:00am prior to the service at Alazan Congregational Methodist Church.
Claude Haywood Perkins, 77, of Nacogdoches, TX, went to heaven on April 2, 2022.
He was born in Nacogdoches County on June 26, 1944, to Velma and Dick Perkins. On February 26, 1965, he married the love of his life, Shirley Perkins.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Shirley Perkins, and children: Christy & Paul Wallace of Burleson, TX, Keith & Deanna Perkins of Mount Enterprise, TX, Kimberlee and Brian Hicks of Baytown, TX, Kassandra Perkins Stevenson and fiancee James Christy of Royse City, TX, Connie & Brad Weaver of Nacogdoches, TX, and Claude Jr. (“Woody”) Perkins of Nacogdoches, TX. He is also survived by 21 grandchildren, and 24 great grandchildren.
He is survived by his brothers, Pete & wife Debbie Perkins, Mitch & wife Jo Perkins, and his sister, Loretta Anthony, as well as many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Dick and Velma Perkins, as well as his siblings, Shirley Jean Jernigan, Homer Perkins, Buddy Perkins, Louis Perkins, Jim Perkins, James Perkins, Dorothy Poole, Arthur Nathaniel Perkins, Jr., and Reba Nell Looney.
Claude was a simple man, with a heart of gold who loved his family with every part of him. If he wasn’t with them, he was with his cows.
Grandsons will be Pallbearers.
