Christopher Lynn Henson

Christopher Lynn Henson, 50 of Nacogdoches, TX passed away on Thursday, September 7, 2023 in Nacogdoches.

A family and friends gathering is scheduled from 6:00-8:00 pm on Friday, September 15, 2023 at Laird Funeral Home.

Chris, also known as “daddy long leg’s” by his daughter and "Henson" by friends, grew up in Douglass where he attended Douglass high school until 1991.  He was involved in basketball and cross country running.  Among his many hobbies, he loved to hang out with friends, play pool, dance, try different food, and loved watching the Astros play and entertained himself with mobile games like Star Trek Fleet commander.  Christopher was the proud owner of his own business, H & H Refrigeration.  One of his favorite things to say was, “Not my monkey, not my circus.”  He was a very intelligent man known for giving advice to everyone.  He was also very kind hearted; he would give the shirt off of his own back for anyone who needed it.  He will be missed by all, and the community will feel his absence for a long time because he is no longer able to fix their air conditioners.

Chris is survived by his daughter, Christa Henson; son, Brandon Asher; father, Elvin Henson; sister, Brandi Henson-Hightower; Vicki Coats who raised him as her own; niece, Madeline Byers; nephew, Landon Byers.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Joyce Berry; and brother, Michael Ray Henson.
