A graveside funeral service will be held at Sunset Memorial Park on April 2, 2024 at 2pm with Brother Barry Rankin officiating.
Cheryl, age of 64, passed away on March 26, 2024 in the comfort of her home in Nacogdoches, Texas.
Cheryl was born in Nacogdoches, Texas to Johnnie and Bobbie Whitton on June 21, 1959. She went to high school at Nacogdoches High School and graduated in 1977. She married the love of her life, Russell Whitten, on September 1, 1979. She then went on to work at East Texas Professional Credit Union for 36 years and served as vice president.
She enjoyed dancing, spending time with her husband, watching her daughter and grandchildren grow up, and online shopping.
Cheryl is survived by her husband, Russell Whitten of Nacogdoches, Tx, her daughter Brooke Stephenson, of Nacogdoches, Tx, grandchildren, Ryleigh and Nolan Stephenson of Nacogdoches, Tx, and many other family members.
She is preceded in death by her father, Johnnie Whitton, mother, Bobbie Gentry, and sister, Charla Monk.
