Memorial Services for Briar Cassada, 29, of Nacogdoches will be held at 2:00 PM on December 27, 2021 at Laird Funeral Home.
David Ray Briar Cassada, born August 25, 1992 in Corsicana, Texas, a beloved husband, adored son, loving father and uncle, wonderful and helpful friend, passed away in Nacogdoches, Texas on Sunday December 19, 2021 at the age of 29.
Briar was a hard-worker and did everything he did in life for his sons and his wife. Family was the most important part of his life and he made it known by his actions and his fighting spirit to do what was best for them in all circumstances. He spent his free time taking care of his home and vehicles to make sure everything was in order so they were all taken care of. When he wasn't being the handyman everyone needed, he was working to provide for his beautiful family or hanging out with his family and friends having a good time. His music was always on full volume and he loved any and all kinds of music. Once the music started, everyone knew a good time was guaranteed to follow. He enjoyed a nice cold beer, his music, mudding, fishing, hunting, riding four-wheelers with his sons, and being up to new shenanigans daily with friends and family.
He had such a beautiful heart and was always willing to fight for what he believed in and support his wife and sons in all their aspirations. He was also a budding entreprenuer with goals for the future to take charge of his life backed by God. His faith in God and his family were stronger than most. He married his high-school sweetheart on July 30, 2011 and they began their adventure together welcoming their two sons on October 12, 2011 and May 23, 2014 with hope and joy. They will always know the love he has for them.
He is survived by his parents, Shelly Duke Cassada and David Ray Cassada; his wife, Crystal Nichole Cassada; and his two sons, Levi Bradley Cassada and Garrett Liam Cassada.
He is greeted in Heaven by his Gamma (Barbara Sanches Parr), his little sister Haleigh Necole Cassada, and father-in-law Richard Lynn Applegate, and many others who loved him very much.
Flowers, donations, and condolences may be offered at the funeral personally.
