Billy Ray Rawlinson

Graveside services for Billy Ray Rawlinson will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, July 1, 2024, at McKnight Cemetery. Mr. Rawlinson passed away peacefully in his home on Monday, June 24, 2024. He was born on September 7, 1949, in Cushing to the late William Edward and Tinnie Chanel Rawlinson.

In his younger years, Billy was very active in sports. He played every sport he could be involved in. Billy received a high diving award and was a boxing champion while in school. Billy had music in his soul, often playing the drums and guitar. He loved dancing and won his very first dance contest at the age of 3 while dancing behind his daddy playing the fiddle. Always a sports enthusiast, Billy predicted the Dallas Cowboys and Houston Texans would play in the Super Bowl together this year. Billy touched many lives in his life, his love will be a legacy that lives on in his family and friends.

Billy is survived by his sisters, Frances Tyra and Linda Miles; brother, Leroy Rawlinson and wife, Mary Jean; and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Tinnie Rawlinson; and brothers, Earl Rawlinson, JM Rawlinson, Travis Rawlinson, Wilberlee Rawlinson, Elvis Rawlinson, and Jerrel Rawlinson.
