Billie (Joyce) Coronado

Billie Marie Coronado, age 68, of Nacogdoches, Texas, passed away February 9, 2021, at her home surrounded by family.

Billie was born February 23, 1952, in San Augustine, Texas, to Meda Beal Koonce. She was raised in the very same county by her parents, Meda and Lewis Sowell. Billie attended Broaddus High School.

Broaddus, Texas is where she met the love of her life, Freddy Coronado. They were married 44 years when she left this earth.

Billie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her greatest joy was being surrounded by her family! Nothing made her happier than holding or playing with her grandbabies and great-grandbabies.

She loved all her family with her whole heart. She loved her husband, above all else; the other half of herself. The one that made her whole – Freddy Coronado. To Billie, her family was everything! She loved a lot in her time.

Billie is survived by her husband, Freddy Coronado, Jr.; daughters, Karen Stephens and husband, Dahmon, and Deona Butler and husband, John; son, Freddy Coronado III and wife, Tracy; sisters, Juanice Adkins, Albina Sanchez and husband, Manuel, and Rachel Bragg; brother, Edward Terrell and wife, Joyce, and Gabriel Elizaldea and wife, Melissa; grandchildren, Makayla Valdez, Jade Barnett, Alexa Barnett, Chelci Fenner, Josh Bieker, Hunter Stephens Taylor Hart, Daniel Hart, Casey Still, and Breanna Barthol, Chaz Coronado, Alaina Coronado, Kyleigh Coronado, and Connor Whitton; 19 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and special loved ones.

Billie is preceded in death by her parents, Lewis Andrew Sowell and Meda Beal Koonce; sisters, Dortha Terrell and Ara Wilkerson; brother, Junior Terrell; and sister, Yolonda Coronado.

Pallbearers will be Daniel Hart, Chaz Coronado, Casey Still, Dario Garcia, Jr., Justin Valdez, and Chris Emerson. Honorary Pallbearers are Hunter Stephens, Baunita Garcia and Gladys Orear, Betty Masters, Rita Molidor, Brenda Wright, Cindy Wilkerson and Valerie McDaniel.
