Graveside service for Betty Lesbia (Hale) Rinker, 89, of Nacogdoches, will be held at 3:00pm on Saturday, November 29, 2025, at Oak Grove Cemetery. Mrs. Rinker passed away on November 13, 2025, in Plano.
Born on January 16, 1936, in Henderson, Texas, to Lesbia Adams and Metza Jackson Hale, Betty Hale Rinker lived a life of faith, service, and steadfast devotion to her family and community.
Betty graduated from Marshall High School in 1953 and went on to attend Southern Methodist University, where she was a proud member of Pi Beta Phi and earned her Bachelor of Science in Education. In July 1958, Betty married Raymond Dudley Rinker, Jr., and they spent the next 56 years together in Nacogdoches, Texas.
A dedicated volunteer and civic leader, Betty was a member of the Nacogdoches Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, serving as Regent, Chaplain, and Constitution Week Chair. She served as President of the Cum Concilio Club from 1996 to 1998 and as a member of the Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. Betty was also a devoted member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, serving as an Elder and as a member of the Afternoon Circle.
Betty was predeceased in death by her husband, Raymond Dudley Rinker, Jr. Left to cherish her memory—and her beloved recipes—are her two sons Ray and Robert, their wives Julie and Kim, five granddaughters, and one great-granddaughter.
