Bebe Brandon Obituary

Bebe Brooks Brandon was born on February 14, 1932 in Houston Texas.  She passed away on April 8, 2024 at Towne Home Estates Nursing Center in Whitney, Texas.  She was 92 years old.

Bebe is survived by her daughter, Nora Lou Cokendolpher & husband, Rodney of Austin; granddaughter Tara Walsh & husband, Joe; great-grandson Jett Walsh and step-children, Lois, Eunice, Johnny and Sidney.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Nora Bell & Alvie Brooks; husbands, Jimmy Leyendecker and Curtis Brandon; brothers, Garvon Brooks, Allen Brooks and Clive Brooks and stepchildren, Titus Brandon, Daniel Brandon and Dorothy Nutt.

Bebe was a member of Abiding Life Assembly of God Church in Whitney, Texas where she was always found on the front row every Sunday and Wednesday.  She was a devoted Christian and dedicated to The Lord and Jesus Christ.

Bebe attended Southwest Texas State University where she met her husband, Jimmy Leyendecker.  Sadly, they were only married a short time before he was killed in a plane crash during a military exercise.  She was pregnant with her daughter Nora at the time.

She then moved to Whitney, Texas where she met and married Pastor Curtis Brandon and together, they relocated to Nacogdoches for many years.

Her life-long friend, Nell Molidor was a long time friend in both Nacogdoches and Whitney

Bebe was a very giving and lovable person.  She saw good in everyone around her.  She will be missed terribly but never forgotten.  She is now at peace with The Lord, where she was ready to go.
