Alice Parker

Graveside service for Alice Parker, 90, of Nacogdoches will be held at 10:00am on Friday, April 1, 2022 at Shady Grove Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 6-8pm on Thursday, March 31, 2022 at Laird Funeral Home.

Mrs. Parker passed away on Wednesday, March 30, 2022 in Nacogdoches.  She was born on February 1, 1932 in Waller, Texas.  

Alice was born in Waller, Texas to Olice and Louise Sheffield on February 1, 1932.  She was married to her husband, George Parker for 73 wonderful years.  She enjoyed gardening and giving vegetables to all her church friends and family.  She was a member of First Baptist Church Nacogdoches. 

Alice is survived by her husband, George Parker, of Nacogdoches; daughters, Becky and husband Hugh Russ, Melba and husband Wayne Wolfe; sons, Robert and wife Kathy Parker, Donald Parker; brothers, Clyde and wife Mary Sheffield, Elvin Sheffield; grandchildren, Michelle Russ, Jenni McDonald, Donny Parker, Christi Saar, Cassi Beasley and husband, Matt, Catrina Whitton, Zachary Sherrill, Meaghan Parker, Kaitlyn Parker, Leland Parker, and Andrew Parker; great grandchildren, Mikah Kressin, Alice Ann Kressin, Chloe Russ, Chris McDonald, Isabella McDonald, Stacey Parker, Brianna Saar, Luke Saar, James Whitton, Justus Whitton, and Kaysley Whitton.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Louise and Olice Sheffield, Harland Sheffield, William Sheffield, and Francis Jackson.

Serving as pallbearers, Tony McDonald, Hugh Russ, Donny Parker, Mikah Kressin, Wayne Wolfe, and Andrew Parker.
