Obituary

Graveside service for Alberto R. Limon, 53, of Nacogdoches, will be at 10:00 AM on Monday, May 15, 2023, at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery with Father Jose Marin, officiant.

Visitation will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Sunday, May 14, 2023, at Laird Funeral Home. Rosary will be held at 7:00 PM.

Alberto was born October 14, 1969, to Genovevo and Juana Limon. He grew up in Mexico in Charco Blanco, San Luis Potosi, where he enjoyed hunting rabbits.

After coming to the United States, Alberto met his beloved Maria in Selva #1, in Nacogdoches. They would raise their children there, often taking part in dances and Quinceaneras.  Alberto, or “Mono” Bean Dip as he was affectionately called, loved music and talking with friends during cookouts. Spending years as a truck driver, he was always washing his 18-wheel truck inside and out.

Alberto is survived by his wife, Maria Yanez Limon; daughters, Lizeth Limon and Idalia Limon; sons, Jose Limon, Jr. & wife Claudia Patricia, and Eriberto Limon; sisters, Jovita Cuarenta, Maria Limon, Rosa Gonzalez, Zefe Reyes, Griselda Martinez, and Elia Limon; brothers, Maximo Limon and Leonef Limon; and grandchild, Jennifer Limon.

He is preceded in death by his parents, and his dog, Luna Limon.
