Visitation will be from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Sunday, April 30, 2023 at Laird Funeral Home.
Born May 23, 1962 in Nacogdoches, Keith grew up playing basketball, spending a lot of time with Thomas Wilson and the teens at church shooting hoops. He loved all sports, but his favorite teams were the Dallas Cowboys and the Dallas Mavericks. While working in the Dallas area, he would “watch” the games with his parents long-distance, excitedly calling to ask the other, “Did you see that play?” Hunting was a favorite pastime as well. These were cherished moments spent with his parents, Bro. Martin Henry, Ray Drake, and Marty Boothe.
He and his beloved wife Angel, loved to travel. They went to many places and had planned to visit many more. He often traveled to Rockdale, Texas to visit his aunt and fish in her pond. Among many other talents, Keith was a gifted poet and wrote many beautiful and meaningful poems.
Keith was loved and respected by everyone who knew him. He had a sweet spirit and loved the Lord with all his heart. His life was an example of a believer in Jesus Christ, a legacy that will carry on through the life of his family and friends. During his short battle with cancer, he was privileged to witness to many people of his personal experience with the Lord and of His abiding presence.
Pallbearers for the service will be Tim Barton, Jr., Thomas Wilson, Lowell Johnson, Peter Pecina, Guy Gillis, Hank Andrewsick, Mike Mathis, and Boyd Goodwin.
Keith is survived by his wife, Angelica “Angel” Baggett of Nacogdoches; mother, Billie Baggett of Nacogdoches; son, Nathaniel Abella of The Philippines; sisters, Karen Baggett Golden of Arlington and Donna Baggett Barton & husband, Tim of Nacogdoches, as well as many nieces, nephews and wonderful friends.
He is preceded in death by his father, Norris “Pete” Baggett.
