Abigail Dempsey

Abigail Dempsey, 69, of Nacogdoches passed away Friday, February 2, 2024 in Nacogdoches. 

Abigail was born on August 11, 1954 in Timpson, Texas to Grant Jack Fredrick and Mintie Grant.  Abigail grew up in the Timpson community and attended Timpson High School where she graduated; she then went on to attend business college.  In 1973, she met the love of her life, Marion Dave Dempsey Jr. and they spent 40 wonderful years together.  Abigail dedicated her life to her loving family, spending as much time as she could with her children, grandchildren and her beloved dog, Sissy.  She loved caring for the elderly, cooking, gardening and traveling with her children and grandchildren.  She was also a faithful and devoted follower of her Lord and Savior.

Mrs. Dempsey is survived by her son, Jack Dave Dempsey and wife Shanna of Nacogdoches; daughters, Amanda Dempsey of Nacogdoches, Sarah Aguilar and husband Jose of Nacogdoches; grandchildren, Joshua Dempsey, Michael Murphy, Gabriella Aguilar, Jose Aguilar, Priscilla Aguilar, Sandy Dempsey, Korbin Dempsey; sisters, Christine Barrett and Kathleen Connell; along with several nieces.
