Abbie Revar Miley

Graveside Services for Abbie Revar Miley, 84, of Nacogdoches, will be held at 11:00 am, on November 18, 2023, at Union Springs with Paul Sevar, officiating.

Mrs. Miley passed away on November 10,2023 in Nacogdoches. She was born on December 18,1938 in Houston, Texas.

Abbie Revar Miley was born on December 18, 1938 to Jasper and Ruby Jenkins Phillips.  She was always vibrant, just like her red hair!  She loved her sisters very much and when she met Durwood Miley, her life changed forever.  She and Durwood married in 1957 and added to their family with the birth of a daughter, Vicky and a son, Danny.  Their lives were filled with love and laughter and after 40 years of being together, she had to say goodbye to her beloved husband.  Revar, or Abbie as some knew her was kind and enjoyed being around family and friends.  She never met a stranger and also spent many years volunteering as a “Pink Lady” at Medical Center Hospital and at the Nacogdoches Senior Center.  When she wasn’t helping others or volunteering, she would spend time reading or traveling to places with her sister.  She was also a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

She is survived by her sister, Patsy Shepherd & husband, James; nieces, Teresa Austin & husband, Enos, Karen Shepherd, Cindy Hall & husband, Elmo and Julie Dickins & husband, Marvin; great nieces & nephews, Jason Austin, Christopher Autin, Lindsey Stephens and Kevin Dickins; great great nieces & nephews, Annabelle, Addison, Wyatt and Briley;

She is preceded in death by her husband, Durwood Miley; son, Danny Miley; daughter, Vicky Sack and her sister, Doris Milford and husband, Gene.
