Mike Briley

Visitation for Mike Briley, 72, of Nacogdoches will be held from 5:00 to 7:00pm on Monday, March 25, 2024 at Laird Funeral Home.

Mike, beloved husband, father and grandfather, passed away at his home on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, surrounded by his wife and two daughters. He was born in Nacogdoches on April 27, 1951. Throughout his 72 years of life, he touched the hearts of many with his kindness, warmth, and unwavering love.

Mike was not only a wonderful father but also a loving husband, whose presence brought joy and comfort to his family and friends. He was a loving and fun PawPaw to his five grandchildren, who brought him immense joy and laughter.

He had a passion for the outdoors, particularly fishing and hunting, where he found solace and enjoyment. His love for nature was evident in his every step, and he shared that passion with those closest to him. Mike retired from Moore Business Forms after a fulfilling career. His contributions to his profession will be remembered fondly by all who knew him.

Mike will be deeply missed, but his memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy of love, kindness, joy and contagious laughter will continue to inspire and uplift us all.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 43 years, Elise; his two daughters, Allyson Herrington-Stout and husband Derrick and Jenna Briley Luce and husband, Cliff; five grandchildren, Diesel James Herrington, 16, Isabella Elise Herrington, 13, Cameron Joe Luce, 11, Clayton Jay Luce, 7, and Collin Jordy Luce,5; and his sister, Dianne Rapsilver and husband, Harold.

He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Thelma Briley; and brothers, Hilton Briley and Victor Briley.
